"Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering 'it will be happier'..."
~ Alfred Tennyson

As we all know, change is a big part of living our lives. Last fall, my life changed profoundly. As many of you've heard, my family has been plagued with illness for the last three years, culminating in my father being on home hospice with my last message. He passed away peacefully at home, with his family around him, in late October. So, my family is now halved - in the past three years, we've lost my brother-in-law to cancer, my mother's in a nursing home with Alzheimer's, and now my father has passed away. There's just my sister, my husband, and myself left. In some ways, Dad's passing was a blessing - his health had been failing for awhile and it was time, he was tired of fighting to live. I miss him terribly, but now he's at peace...

In November, I received news of another change - I am no longer affiliated with the puzzles.com site. This means, unfortunately, that I can no longer provide interactive puzzles. Our monthly puzzles lasted for almost 11 years, I think that's extraordinary, considering how fast the Web has changed over the years. And my partners assure me that we aren't done with interactivity! They're currently in development with an exciting new concept project, which logic puzzles will be part of...I'll keep you informed when I receive more details.

The new year is often seen as a time of rebirth or new beginnings and that's how I see it this year. I'm beginning a new chapter in my life...and so too will the Puzzlers Paradise website evolve a bit. I've decided I will continue posting monthly logic puzzles, but for now they will be printable only. All puzzles currently on the website will remain, so you're welcome to continue enjoying the past interactive monthly puzzles. Other changes to the site may take place during the year as I'm currently considering other options. If you have thoughts or suggestions, feel free to drop me a note - I'm always interested in my readers' comments.

As always, thanks for your support! *smile*
